Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Gitty moved to the US at the age of nine, and strengthened his knowledge of English by devouring pop and hip-hop records. He even rescued his first guitar from the garbage, and from there, he went to Berklee, then later to the backing bands for the likes of Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gitty&#8217;s new single, &#8216;Karaoke&#8217; has all the same warmth, immediacy, and sophistication that his listeners will remember from those records he&#8217;s worked on. Working on the single are Baltimore R&amp;B vocalist Rose Gold, who steams up the chorus, and the Caribbean-American emcee Trinidad James, who swaggers through the second verse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The video for &#8216;Karaoke&#8217; sees Gitty following Rose Gold through the streets of Los Angeles&#8217; Chinatown, and he sings in front of the ornate arch of the Far East Plaza. The action really starts however when he opens the door of the karaoke bar. Gitty, Rose, and Trinidad all take their turns at the spotlight, along with some locals.
