Dutch DJ and producer trio Kris Kross Amsterdam (KKA), Conor Maynard, and Dutch producer The Boy Next Door have released their brand new single \u2018Whenever\u2019 through Spinnin\u2019 Records\/Parlophone.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

With a sample of Shakira\u2019s smash hit \u2018Whenever, Wherever\u2019 alongside KKA\u2019s and TBND\u2019s mix of feel-good funky R&B, trap and house it is set to be a summer smash. The accompanying video was filmed in Cadiz, Spain (with KKA & TBND) and Florida (with Conor) and captures that ultimate sunshine holiday vibe.<\/p>\n

Speaking of how the track came to life KKA say,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very proud that we could use the sample of Shakira\u2019s 2001 hit single \u2018Whenever, Wherever\u2019. The track was written by Shakira and Gloria Estefan and we are huge fans of them. We\u2019re really happy with the result and secretly hope they like it too!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Conor Maynard hopes the song will hit the sweet spot with Shakira and has said,<\/p>\n

Speaking about working with KKA and Conor for the first time The Boy Next Door says,<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter my 2017 hit \u2018La Colegiala\u2019, I have been constantly looking for summery influences for my tracks. At a certain moment I heard this classic Shakira tune again, which I hadn\u2019t heard in a long time, and instantly got very inspired by it. After the initial idea came to existence I asked Kris Kross Amsterdam to work with me on this track. We went into the studio together and after we finished the tune, they asked Conor Maynard, who Kris Kross Amsterdam worked with before, to add an amazing vocal to it. Conor immediately got excited about it and after one week everything was recorded and finished.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2018Whenever\u2019 is the second single KKA and Conor Maynard have released together and follows their 2017 hit \u2018Are You Sure?\u2019, which has had over 50 million streams and was supported by Radio 1, Capital FM and KISS Fresh.<\/p>\n
