We’ve been talking about Germein for a few years now<\/a>, and pretty soon the entire world will be ‘Talking’ as they drop their new single by the same name, ahead of their support role on Little Mix’s UK stadium tour this July.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Growing up in\u00a0Adelaide Hills, South Australia, sisters Georgia\u00a0<\/strong>(guitar, keys),\u00a0Ella\u00a0<\/strong>(electric cello, bass) and\u00a0Clara Germein\u00a0<\/strong>(drums)\u00a0have been playing together for so long that the band has become second nature to them.\u00a0Taking lead from strong artists like\u00a0Haim, Chvrches\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Tegan & Sara<\/strong>, the sisters aren\u2019t afraid to explore a wide palate of musical styles, while keeping a firm hand on pop sensibilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe love bands with a strong harmony\u00a0feel like Fleetwood Mac and Queen and the edginess of Florence and the Machine and The Wombats\u201d\u00a0says Ella. \u201cPlus you can\u2019t beat the fun energy\u00a0of iconic female artists from over the years like the Spice Girls, Beyonc\u00e9 and of course Little Mix.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While they’ve previously toured the world and released music independently, the new single\u00a0\u2018Talking\u2019 is the first taste of a new Germein, created and recorded and produced at home by Georgia with mixing by acclaimed mixer\u00a0John Castle (Vance Joy), and pre-production by\u00a0Stuart Gray.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe realised it was time to take control for ourselves and really start making the music that we want to make on our own terms\u2019\u201d\u00a0says Georgia.\u201cWe decided to record and produce ourselves in our home studio.\u00a0\u00a0When we hit play on \u2018Talking\u2019, we knew it was the musical vision we\u2019ve had for ourselves finally coming to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2018Talking\u2019 shows Germein at their best, mixing their close three-part harmonies with a soaring break-out chorus. The song is a strong statement from the all-female act and will launch in the UK at\u00a0the Isle of Wight Festival\u00a0before joining\u00a0Little Mix\u00a0opening for their\u00a0Summer Hit Arena Tour 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to play in front of such huge audiences across the UK is an absolute dream come true,\u201d says Georgia.\u201cThis year is really a turning point for us as a band.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud that we\u2019ve been able to march forward and prove to the world that we can make it doing what we love regardless of being young and female,\u201dadds Clara.\u00a0\u201cWhether it\u2019s raised eyebrows when you tell someone that you\u2019re a drummer or not believing we really write our own material, we are happy to tackle the stereotypes as women in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
