Basco General\u00a0grew up in a musical family, with his primary inspirations coming from his father, a drummer in the reggae band, Black Slate. Basco\u2019s influences come from artists such as Bob Marley, with the vocals combining traditional reggae elements with modern rock and hip hop. The end result is an effective showcase of Basco\u2019s unique style.<\/p>\n
Previous releases by Basco General have found radio airplay on such stations as BBC Radio 1xtra, Don City Radio, and Unique FM. It\u2019s hoped that \u2018Mama Express\u2019 will see similar success.<\/p>\n
