Indie artist, Tom Grennan with his charming stage presence and strong vocals is a rising star.<\/h4>\n

With sold-out shows even before the release of his debut album \u2018Lighting Matches’, he is definitely one to watch.Before his show, at Rock City, in Nottingham, he sat down with us for a chat, as he tells us more about the album, his most memorable moments on stage and more.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your sound and how would you say it\u2019s evolved?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fiery, emotional and just Tom Grennan. How it’s evolved, it’s gotten bigger and bigger, production-wise.<\/p>\n

Is there a particular message you try to convey through your music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Only the fact that I’m trying to be as real as I can. When I write songs, it’s my feelings. So I put my feelings into songs and put it into the world, and people take my songs and make it theirs. My songs could have so many different feelings and messages and ways of helping people.<\/p>\n

What’d you think people will take away from your album, \u2018Lighting Matches\u2019, due in July?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s about the start of something. It’s about the start of my career for me. It’s about igniting that match and setting off into a longevity of success, and just good music I suppose.<\/p>\n

What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep doing exactly what you’re doing, mate, cause you’re alright.<\/p>\n
