Olive, from Perth, Western Australia, released her debut single, ‘Changing The World’ on Earth Day, 22 April, last year, to coincide with global consciousness about environmental sustainability. Now she’s back with ‘Senseless’, accompanied by a haunting music video showcasing the glorious beauty of the Australian bush.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Olive’s vocals are ethereal, reed-like and other-worldly; the track sounds almost as if it’s been recorded live in the bush, there’s a crackling natural vibe at the start as the listener waits until the first notes of the guitar drop into the track. Layer upon layer, Olive builds up her vocals, like a house of cards, and they suddenly tumble down at the bridge.<\/p>\n

Produced by Dylan Olliveirre and Matt Gionatti, ‘Senseless’ is a simple musical mosaic of drums, bass, guitar, and strings. It’s a pleasant change in a world dominated by electronic music.<\/p>\n
