Matthew Schultz released his long-awaited new single, ‘Promise For Keeps’ on 2 February this year. The Manhattan based producer and artist seamlessly blends EDM and Major Lazer style dancehall to good effect, with the end result a cutting edge pop song.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Schultz takes his inspiration from the likes of James Dean, Johnny Cash and Elvis, as well as more contemporary artists such as Calvin Harris, Diplo, and The Chainsmokers. He made his debut in 2013 with ‘Money Or Me’, which was produced by Armando Guarnera, and has to date received more than 1.2 million YouTube plays, as well as seeing him nominated as Best New Male Artist at the EOTM Awards that year. He followed this up with ‘Crazy Heart’ (ft. Alessia Guarnera) in 2014, and ‘We Own The Night’ (ft. Jim Jones), the next year. A remix of the song by Follow The Moon<\/a> in 2017 ensured Matthew’s profile on social media skyrocketed, with his following on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram soaring.<\/div>\n

‘Promise For Keeps’, as it might suggest, is a romantically charged track, accompanied by an animated video featuring a cartoon version of Matthew looking dashing while singing to and about the object of his affections: “I love that I’m close to you, so much love to show to you, I hope I’m not thinking too far ahead….”.<\/div>\n

‘Promise For Keeps’ reached Number 22 on the iTunes UK Dance Chart, and is currently in the Top 100 of the Beatport Dance Chart, with already more than 1 million plays on SoundCloud since its release on 2 February. Additionally, there’s a version featuring Caribbean artist Gyptian which was released as a surprise on Valentine’s Day<\/a>.<\/div>\n
