Indie-rock duo Percival Elliott are from the south coast of England, and comprise Olly Hite and Samuel Carter-Brazier. The pair have recently released ‘Forever’, the first single from their forthcoming album, ‘Save Your Soul’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

With musical inspirations including Jeff Buckley, The Beatles, and Father John Misty, their performing name itself is in memory of Hite’s great-grandfather, Percival Elliott, an inventor born in 1883 who created one of the first ice cream emporia in Brighton. They discovered a time capsule of Percival’s inventions in the Hite family attic, including engraved ice cream ephemera, old photographs, and war medals. The pair were so impressed by the finds and so, ‘Percival Elliott’ was born.<\/p>\n

‘Forever’ is a compelling and poignant song, featuring string arrangements, retro vocal harmonies, and strong piano melodies.<\/p>\n

Olly says of the track,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cForever is about a chance meeting with someone. Sparks and butterflies, even if it\u2019s just for a second, that feeling can last forever\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Percival Elliott pair yearning lyrics with Hite’s penetratingly pure vocals and Carter-Brazier’s guitar, underpinned by a stirring string quartet. The song is accompanied by a retro-feel video showing the pair rowing down a river, giving the entire piece a laid back feel.<\/p>\n

Percival Elliott have performed to sold-out audiences on tour with other UK artists, and have also collaborated with Fatboy Slim. ‘Save Your Soul’ is set for release early this year.<\/p>\n
