Following on from our review of Reggie n’ Bollie’s debut album, ‘Uncommon Favours’, we’ve hit the guys up with Six Quick Questions.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

EP: Hi guys! We’re familiar with you from the X Factor, but you were both solo artists in your native Ghana. Did you know each other there? How did you come to decide to perform together? Tell us something about all that.<\/strong><\/p>\n

REGGIE: We\u2019ve known each other since way back in Ghana when we were both busy in our solo careers. We always had much respect for each others talent and kept in contact when we both relocated to the U.K. We then decided to join forces and do music together because we had similar dreams and aspirations but everyday life, financial situations were slowly making that dream fade. The X Factor changed everything for us.<\/p>\n

EP: You’ve started your own label F.R.O.D Music – what do the letters stand for? Is it just for your music or are you hoping to sign others to it too?<\/strong><\/p>\n

BOLLIE: F.R.O.D music stands for Fearlessly Ruling Our Destinies. We established it for us to release our own music independently and also to build the brand enough to sign other artists. We are on that journey and have started working on a new artist we have signed under our label.<\/p>\n

EP: We’ve listened to ‘Uncommon Favours’ (a few times!) today and we’re loving the whole Afrobeat vibe, and overall upbeat and positive feeling. But there’s a lot more to it, isn’t there, it’s essentially a declaration of your intent to succeed isn’t it! What advice do you have to anyone else who’s been following your journey and wants to make it in the music industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n

REGGIE: It is indeed. You got it right. We\u2019ve put all our energy into the album as we speak about our struggles and our ambitions. It sums up our journey so far and there is more depth to it than just the good vibes and possitivity it brings.Its an album that touches on all aspect of life in terms of good times and bad times. We are really proud of this album and we are so glad everyone is enjoying it as much as we do. The feedback has been more than amazing!<\/p>\n

BOLLIE: Our advice to anyone that has been following our journey and wants to succeed is to stay consistent, work hard, be tough and strong in bad times as the journey is full of ups and downs. However, with determination you will succeed. So they should keep grinding and never give up.<\/p>\n

BOLLIE: Stormzy, Shakka, Eminen<\/p>\n

EP: What’s planned for 2018 and beyond, if you’re allowed to tell us?<\/strong><\/p>\n

BOLLIE: We intend to embark on our own headline UK tour. We are still growing our label and will be working more on the new artist we have signed so expect new music from our label. We have lots of work in the pipeline as Tourism Ambassadors for Ghana and other business ventures we\u2019ve started. Surely the year ahead will be a busy one.<\/p>\n

EP: What question do you wish someone would ask you in an interview, and nobody ever does?<\/strong><\/p>\n

REGGIE: A question nobody has ever asked us is: Do you think the music industry is fair to artists that come from Talent\/TV shows?<\/p>\n
