Based in West London, singer songwriter and abstract artist Freeman released his new single, ‘Good Times’ today. It’s out on Catapult Records, and is the follow up to his recent debut, ‘Lay On’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Recorded during the summer at Eastcote Studios, Kensal Rise, ‘Good Times’ is paired with a video which harks back to the early 70s, and brings with it all the memories of a time when life was a lot less hectic. Freeman first picked up a guitar when he was living in Cuba as a teen, and obsessed with the Rolling Stones. He takes his inspiration for his music from 70s icons such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Love, Bill Withers, America, and Al Stewart, and by recording in an analogue studio he makes his own take on these sounds. ‘Good Times’, like ‘Lay On’ before it, is a perfect indicator of what we’re going to get from Freeman’s album, ‘Truth’, scheduled for release in early 2018.<\/p>\n

Outside of music, Freeman is an abstract painter, who developed his love for the style while still at school. Gaining a large following on Instagram, he decided to hold his first exhibition, Portobello’s Palm Tree Gallery, where he became the “highest selling artist on Portobello in 20 years.” On the back of this success Freeman is currently in talks with top Mayfair gallery, Maddox and Delahunty Fine Art, and aims to hold a second exhibition very soon.<\/p>\n

Freeman’s music and artwork go hand in hand, with one of his early paintings to feature on the album cover of ‘Truth’.<\/p>\n
