Rapper KNITWIT had to move from his home town of San Diego in order to get some recognition for his music. Real name Shon Lloyd, KNITWIT found support however in other California cities like Los Angeles and Oakland, then in Arizona, where he moved earlier this year. KNITWIT’s latest song, ‘LookOut’, is set to make him a household name and establish him as an artist in his own right.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Growing up playing drums in church, KNINTWIT was nonetheless influenced by the music of A Tribe Called Quest, Naughty By Nature, Tupac, and NWA when creating his own beats. Initially he started out by releasing gospel rap cassettes, under the moniker Shon T, but when he signed with Mo Thug Records in 1992, he took the chance to break out, and KNITWIT was born.<\/p>\n

Describing his sound as “reality rap”, KNITWIT focuses on his life experiences, as well as those of others. ‘LookOut’ comes with a music videoshot in front of a green screen, which features multiple versions of the artist, each with a larger than life bobble type head. In speaking of this effect, KNITWIT said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to make my head bigger so you couldn\u2019t miss it, so you couldn\u2019t look over me no more\u2026. You gotta see me so look out, here I come.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Never forgetting his roots as a drummer, KNITWIT can also be seen banging on buckets, adding character to the overall aspect of the video.<\/p>\n

For the \u201cLookOut\u201d music video, KNITWIT\u00a0stepped in front of a green screen all called the shots. The clip features multiple versions of the rapper, each with a larger than life, bobblehead effect. Commenting on this KNITWIT\u00a0says, \u201cI wanted to make my head bigger so you couldn\u2019t miss it, so you couldn\u2019t look over me no more\u2026. You gotta see me so look out, here I come.\u201d Always a drummer, he\u2019s seen hitting on buckets for percussion, which adds character and chemistry to the visual aspect of the video.<\/p>\n
