Too often people think success has to come instantly. In truth it\u2019s more often than not a matter of sticking to it, when others give up. Memphis-based Tin Tenn is one such artist, whose tenacity will ensure his longevity, and whose new single, \u2018Lucid Dreams\u2019, is the perfect example of his tenacity.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Tin Tenn lived a rough life during his formative years, and was led to music as his lifeline when he\u2019d reached rock bottom. At 13 he was prescribed pain medication, to which he quickly became addicted, and led him to twice any drugs he could get his hands on, and started a cycle of homelessness and incarceration, and a path of self-destruction.<\/p>\n

At 15 however, Tin Tenn fell in love with music. Still in the midst of addiction he wrote his first song and discovered hip hop as his true calling. It did however present one problem: in order to make music, he had to separate himself from the drug culture that raised him. After a decade of struggling with drug addiction, imprisonment, and family duresss, he sought help, Tin Tenn has been clean since August 8, 2016.<\/p>\n

\u2018Lucid Dreams\u2019, from his \u2018Midnight Madness\u2019 EP, has already accumulated over 37K SoundCloud streams, and the official video looks likely to follow the same path. Touching on Tin Tenn\u2019s story of addiction, and the desire to break free into the world of music, it\u2019s told from the perspective of a female protagonist. The main character is found alone in a cheap motel room, pills scattered on the dresser behind her. The theme of the song is that although she seems too broken and fragile to be fixed, all she wants is to be loved, and with this, her reality can turn around. Tin Tenn speaks to us from the bottom of his healing soul, and from his own life experiences, making this a song to get behind.<\/p>\n
