Alex Cuba is a musical renaissance man of the Latin world, and has played a wide range of rock, folk, and soul throughout his career. His latest single, ‘Piedad de Mi’ is the second single from his 2017 album, ‘Lo \u00danico Constante’ (The One Constant), and has already garnered over 130,000 Spotify streams.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Born in Cuba but now based in Smithers, British Columbia, Alex Cuba has recorded six albums, which have seen him receive a vast array of awards, including two Juno awards, four Latin Grammys, and two Grammy nominations.<\/p>\n

The video for ‘Piedad de Mi’, is quite hilarious, a take on a puppet falling in love with a woman at first sight. With a couple singing sunflowers to help our lover boy achieve his dreams, he chases after his love, only to get hit by a car. She comes to his rescue until\u2026 You guessed it! His heart pops out of his chest and begins exploding (Oh my\u2026). The punchline comes at the end of the video when he wakes up from his near-death experience and sees another woman on the street and is once again head over heels. A hilarious, feel good video with beautifully sung spanish poetry to narrate the story.<\/p>\n
