On Sunday evening 24th\u00a0September, the finalists for Salute\u2019s quest to unearth the very best in British musical talent were announced on\u00a0Salute Music Maker\u2019s Facebook\u00a0page.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Heralding the final stage of the competition to find the best of unsigned UK musical talent, the remaining artists have battled through an initial talent pool of over 2000 entrants to the stage which matters the most \u2013 judging by the music fans themselves.<\/p>\n

Forget the industry standard, generic voting systems used by other competitions – Salute Music Makers have developed a\u00a0whole new way\u00a0for Music Lovers to vote and\u00a0become curators\u00a0in their own right for their favourite songwriters.<\/p>\n

In a world first, voters register their votes for their favourite artists by interacting with an AI Bot in Facebook Messenger: called\u00a0Salute Music Messenger\u00a0commencing\u00a026th\u00a0September.<\/p>\n

Al bot\u00a0will interact with the user throughout this voting stage by unlocking ten completely-randomised, 10 track playlists, every fourth day where the public will vote for their favourite track.<\/p>\n

Voting closes on\u00a027th\u00a0October, the six acts who have made it to the final of the competition will be those who were featured in the most playlists.<\/p>\n

Those voting won\u2019t know the time or date the\u00a0 playlist voting is closed, the drama is extended to the very last minute as every track on the playlist can be changed \u2013 the leader board can be turned on its head at any time while all playlists are active! Salute Music Makers have ensured that this unique voting system engages with the user at every stage of the process, even allowing for latecomers to receive any backdated playlists they missed.<\/p>\n

Spearheaded by the legendary former front-man of The Undertones,\u00a0Feargal Sharkey, Salute are proud to be providing a platform for the up-and-coming songwriters of the UK. The Salute team of curators including\u00a0Ras Kwame, Chris Tofu OBE, Jonathan Quarmby, Simon Perry (ReverbNation), Fiona Bevan, Dee Adam\u00a0and Kwame Kwaten\u00a0have evaluated and judged thetop 100\u00a0artists, whose futures now lie in the hands of the most important people \u2013 the music lovers.<\/p>\n
