With their energetic and engaging live shows and dedication to the genre of post-hardcore, as well as an innate ability to strike the perfect balance between melody and metal, The Edge Of Reason, from Regensburg, Germany, certainly have the defining characteristics to make their debut album, ‘Broken But Not Torn’, a sure-fire hit.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Self-produced, the album was released to widespread acclaim from their increasingly expanding fanbase. Dealing with psychological issues, as well as the struggle to contain them on a day-to-day basis, and the overwhelming desire to change them, the tracks are quite heavy and dark. Two guitars, drums and bass, played by Alex, Billy, Niko and Dani respectively, are the perfect backing to vocalist Ro Seven, whose soaring melodies are mixed in with gutteral growls, revealing the subtleties of the songs which go to show The Edge Of Reason are more than just a group of rage and angst-filled young men.<\/p>\n

Lead single, ‘Is She Worth It’, tackles the problems with relationships – but rather than just coping with stress from dealings with women – they’re on the outside observing friends in an unhealthy relationship with the red warning flags clearly visible. The video is expertly executed and encapsulates the fury and raw energy with a hard-rock palette and rapidly changing coloured lights, which are meticulously shot and lit with precision. Neon and black lights keep the visuals moving – a story plays out alongside showing the destruction of some relationships.<\/p>\n
