In the video for Clay Melton’s latest song, ‘Secrets’, he takes us behind the scenes in a garage with his band, where they play the song fervently. Inspired by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texan Clay’s passion for his instrument is evident, and the artist shows there’s no end to what he can achieve with it.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Clay Melton first heard Jimi Hendrix’s ‘All Along The Watchtower’ at the age of eleven, and was captivated, and took on the guitar, playing by ear, and therefore showing his natural talent for the instrument. By 15 he was rated one of the top 10 guitarists in Texas under the age of 20, and his stage experiences as a guitarist and songwriter have only grown from there.<\/p>\n

In the video, Clay reminscences about the days when he would practice in the garage, and jams with drummer Zach Grindle and bassist Raymon Minton. The video has a 16mm film look, scratchy and old fashioned looking, with the colour grading washed out at the start. As the band’s playing intensifies, colour is added, along with transitions and lens flares. By the bridge, the video is a pyschedelic rainbow of colour and sound, calling to mind Hendrix and Zeppelin, and all the great guitarist of the 60s and 70s. We’re left wanting for more by the end of the clip, which of course, is never a bad thing!<\/p>\n
