Trip-hop pop band Tremble are best known for their stripped down covers and 90s inspired electro sound. Their latest track ‘Thorns’, is a captivating single with a dark and hypnotic video.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Singer songwriter Kelly Sweet opens the track with an a cappella vocal in a video shot in vintage style black and white in the California desert. White roses are used, which fit nicely with the lyrics, \u201cPain is like a rose, gotta watch yourself on those thorns\u201d, and of course, the title of the song itself.<\/p>\n

Time-lapse and stop animation are used throughout the video to good effect, and there is much use of symbolism – the rose as mentioned before, representing spirituality and innocence; and thorns, superimposed over Kelly’s dreamy and rhythmic movements. There’s a lot in the video for the viewer to taken in – “if you don’t know darkness then you can’t see light”.<\/p>\n

The song has been described by BreatheHeavy.com as “(Tremble’s sound is) like quickly taking a shot of neon blue hypnotic hard liquor. In slow motion.” The band was selected earlier this year as a Top 21 Artist Of The Month, by IndiMusic TV. With three albums already, as well as their covers grabbing worldwide attention, Tremble is clearly becoming an act to look out for.<\/p>\n
