Born in Italy, Elia Pazzini, known to most as Elia, began his musical path only recently, at the age of 22. He credits it as saving his life, rescuing him from both a painful relationship, and an academic life path that he found unfulfilling. Although he had no formal musical training, Elia nonetheless found solace in it, and sat on the beach with an iPad and an idea – and his musical career was born.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Although his music is mostly pop, Elia takes his inspiration from a variety of genres, including dance, Latin, rock, and Indie, giving his sound a fresh feeling. Set to release his debut album, ‘White Owl’, Elia\u00a0presents the video for the first single, ‘Time to Rise’. The album is for those who think about love in an irrational fashion, and who find themselves falling in love with the “wrong person”. Exploring different moods, such as fear, happiness, pain, anger, and passion – the songs on ‘White Owl’ give the ultimate message that love is worth the distress it sometimes causes. ‘Time To Rise’ continues with this theme, telling the story of a girl – The White Owl of the album – who is unattainable. She belongs to nobody but herself, and is less interested in love than in feeling raw emotions, such as joy, pain, and passion.<\/p>\n

‘Time To Rise’ is accompanied by a video directed by Stefano Bertelli, a colourful, animated clip. It looks simple and childlike, but hides the complexity of its execution. Elia performs in the clip, and is in effect an animated version of himself. It’s beautifully done, and complements the song perfectly.<\/p>\n
