Although bandmates Jordan White and Brian Dellis grew up together, the pair have diversely different musical backgrounds. White performed in choirs before gaining her degree in Musical Theatre, and learning to write and perform original songs at coffeehouses in Hollywood. Conversely, Dellis’s guitar riffs come from his membership of local punk rock bands.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Jordan returned to Phoenix after her time in LA, and formed the band, Jane N’ The Jungle, which now, along with Brian, also features bassist William Unkefer, and drummer Davis Carpenter. Their music is a harmonious blend of styles, sound like a mix of 90s Alternative music, Alanis Morissette, and The Cranberries, and the likes of Florence And The Machine.<\/p>\n

Jane N’ The Jungle released their debut EP late last year, and were named by The Phoenix New Times as one of “17 Metro Phoenix Bands To Watch In 2017”. They’ve performed on TV, and their songs, ‘Smoke & Dust’, and ‘Open Road Blues’, have found themselves featured on Honda’s ads.<\/p>\n

The video for ‘Faded Stars’ is glorious and messy – Jordan is dressed in white, and shot against a white background. She pours paint all over herself, the colours mixing and combining, and the end result an absolute thing of beauty. The song is sorrowful and moving, with a grungy feel appropriate for the grungy video.<\/p>\n
