We introduced Kylie Odetta a few weeks back<\/a>, with her song, ‘You Don’t Love Me’, the first from her seven-track EP, ‘Undertow’. Now she’s back with her\u00a0latest release, ‘Stress’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Kylie’s received high praise in such publications as Paste, Music Ninja, CCM, and PressPLAY OK, the latter of whom\u00a0premiered ‘Stress’, and called it “a gorgeous marriage\u00a0of that impeccably-controlled vocal, this time surrounded by the warmest piano-and-brass instrumentation we\u2019ve heard for some time.” She’s also opened for the likes of Gavin DeGraw, Colbie Callait, and Mat Kearny.<\/p>\n

The 19 year old from South Carolina spent her growing up days listening to a mix of top 40 and old school jazz, which has moulded her now signature sound.<\/p>\n

The piano-led ‘Stress’, combined with Kylie’s husky R&B tones\u00a0is a fitting follow-up to her previous release, and her maturity of sound belies her youth. In fact, any of the tracks from Kylie’s EP, ‘Undertow’, would be a suitable candidate for release. First track, ‘Sunny Day’, does exactly what it says on the tin, with brass instrumentals underpinning her vocals. Title track, ‘Undertow’, is simplicity itself – just Kylie’s voice with stripped back \u00a0instrumentation.<\/p>\n
