Ireland has always been an exciting place for music, and in the three\u00a0years Essentially Pop has been around we’ve noticed a massive increase in the number of good quality artists\u00a0we’ve reviewed, who have come from the Emerald Isle.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

No less among these are APELLA, a duo formed by Dara Quilty and Ronan Nolan, both of whom have been involved in the music industry in one way or another for a good number of years now. Their latest single, ‘Graceful Dancer’, has seen considerable airplay on Irish radio stations, as has\u00a0their debut track, ‘We Met At A Party’,\u00a0released in 2016.<\/p>\n

Recently APELLA played the main room at Whelans, Dublin’s premiere rock venue, and were shocked\u00a0to discover Ed Sheeran and his friends – among them Jedward and actress Saoirse Ronan – had come to their show after Ed’s own gig, at the nearby 3 Arena, had finished, and were then waiting to meet them in their dressing room.<\/p>\n
