Celebrated singer-songwriter Tori Amos unveils her hotly-anticipated new album ‘Native Invader’ \u2013 to be released on Decca Records on 8th<\/sup> September \u2013 and world tour, including UK dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow in September and October, with US and Canadian dates to follow in November and December.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Speaking of the new album, Tori Amos<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe songs on \u2018Native Invader\u2019 are being pushed by the Muses to find different ways of facing unforeseen challenges and in some cases dangerous conflicts. The record looks to Nature and how, through resilience, she heals herself The songs also wrestle with the question: what is our part in the destruction of our land, as well as ourselves, and in our relationships with each other?<\/p>\n

“In life there can be the shock of unexpected fires, floods, earthquakes, or any cataclysmic ravager \u2013 both on the inside and outside of our minds. Sonically and visually, I wanted to look at how Nature creates with her opposing forces, becoming the ultimate regenerator through her cycles of death and re-birth. Time and time again she is able to renew, can we find this renewal for ourselves?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

‘Native Invader’\u00a0is Tori\u2019s\u00a015th<\/sup>\u00a0studio album,\u00a0following on from 2014\u2019s ‘Unrepentant\u00a0Geraldines’ \u2013 her 8th<\/sup> Billboard Top 10 album.\u00a0 This\u00a0will be her\u00a0first\u00a0release on\u00a0Decca Records\u00a0\u2013 moving from sister label Mercury Classics.<\/p>\n

Tori\u2019s confessional style of writing sees her continue to push boundaries with her music. Her messages of empowerment, tenderness, acerbic assertiveness and her utterly peerless sound speaks to audiences across the globe. In this new album, Tori delves even deeper into her personal experiences, and the standard is there to be seen.<\/p>\n

A pioneer across multiple platforms, Tori was the first major label artist to offer a single for download. Nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, she has had her songs turned into graphic novels and has produced ground-breaking videos throughout her career. In late 2016 she released the title song \u2018Flicker\u2019 to the acclaimed Netflix documentary \u2018Audrie and Daisy\u2019, addressing issues of high school rape. A noted humanitarian, Tori is co-founder of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), which is the United States\u2019 largest anti-sexual assault organisation.<\/p>\n

Tori Amos\u2019 autumn European tour kicks off on September 6th<\/sup> in Ireland, with dates across Europe throughout the month. She arrives in the UK on 4th<\/sup> October for a performance at London\u2019s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, followed by Manchester\u2019s Palace Theatre on 5th<\/sup> and Glasgow\u2019s O2 Academy on the 6th\u00a0<\/sup>October.<\/p>\n
