Based in San Francisco, but having grown up in the midwest, John Haesemeyer’s style is a blend of folk and popular genres, with an emphasis on vocals and acoustic guitar. His new track, ‘Maybe If I Try’, shows his inspiration, the great singer-songwriters, the likes of which include Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

John Haesemeyer released his debut album, ‘Come Along Quickly’ in 2013, culled from a catalogue of over 50 songs he’d written and recorded at various times in his life. With a goal to explore in his music themes of love, loss, and hope – basically the themes that are common to the human condition.<\/p>\n

The video for ‘Maybe If I Try’ features a strong female protagonist, perfectly representing the pureness, and sombre notes of the song – and the message of motivation that John is trying to convey. With clips of Haesemeyer and his band woven in and out of the video, the viewer is given some idea of how powerful and passionate he is in his performances.on one of the tracks. Haesemeyer is currently performing in California with his six-piece band, making music videos, and working on his fourth studio record.<\/p>\n
