It was a simple process\u00a0to move into electronica, causing his music writing to evolve further. &#8216;Songs For The Road&#8217; is a one-man show, with Stian performing keyboards, guitars, drums, drum machines, synths, and vocals &#8211; practising on\u00a0any instrument he wasn&#8217;t familiar with until he knew it perfectly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"26807\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/2017\/04\/analog-monoxide-playing-tag\/analog-monoxide-4\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Analog-Monoxide-4.jpg?fit=1536%2C1536&amp;ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"1536,1536\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-title=\"Analog Monoxide 4\" data-image-description=\"\" data-image-caption=\"\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Analog-Monoxide-4.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26807\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Analog-Monoxide-4.jpg?resize=640%2C640&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8216;Songs For The Road&#8217; is based on personal and emotional events, with his sound something akin to Thievery Corporation, Portishead, and maybe a bit of Tom Waits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">H\u00f8yberg considers music to be a healing tool, and hopes it has the same effect on his audiences as it does him.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"font_8\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt\u2019s dark, but there\u2019s a light at the end of the tunnel. Perhaps I\u2019m communicating from the midpoint\u2026we\u2019re all here sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"font_8\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200b&#8217;Playing Tag&#8217; is a swirling compote of synth patterns\u00a0and beats, sounding somewhat like a slowed-down version\u00a0of Fatboy Slim&#8217;s &#8216;Weapon Of Choice&#8217;.
