I had over 100 demos that I needed to sift through to narrow it down to the first song I would release to this world. During that process, my grandparents came over for a visit one afternoon that I was sitting in my basement sifting through demos. I invited my pop-pop downstairs to listen to some of the demos I had set aside for myself to listen to that day and after going through a few of the demos, \u2018BURN\u2019 came up. He stopped me from changing it and told me how much he loved it and made me play it again. Just a few short months later, my pop-pop unfortunately passed away. \u2018BURN\u2019 is about someone walking out of my life without warning and that person staying within close enough proximity to watch me struggle to stand back up while they continue on as if my pain was non-existent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From New York City, HOLDN brings honesty and emotion, alongside a brimful of unapologetic wit and good humour to her songs, while at the same time drawing you in with\u00a0her siren call of haunting melody.
