A Breach Of Silence gets set to release their highly anticipated third studio album, Secrets, on February 24th 2017.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Australian power-core band A Breach Of Silence gets set to release their highly anticipated third studio album, Secrets, out worldwide on February 24th 2017. Essentially Pop had the chance to chat with bassist\/vocalist Blair Layt last year about the expectations and goals of their latest album release, Secrets, which you can check out here<\/a>. \u00a0Blair relays some great commentary about the album making process and all the people involved to help make it happen. With the release of the new album the band has also planned Australian tour dates which eventually will be followed by tour dates in the United States.<\/p>\n

Secrets was produced by well known metal producer Fredrik Nordstrom (Bring Me The Horizon, Arch Enemy, In Flames) and was mixed by Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman in Sweden. A Breach Of Silence’s last studio album, The Darkest Road, debuted on the iTunes metal chart in Australia at #1 and #20 on AIRA’s 100% Independent chart as well as being dubbed Best of 2014 by dozens of music blogs and media publications so it is no wonder that we have been looking forward to hearing the new material on Secrets.<\/div>\n
A Breach Of Silence has released two music videos so far pertaining to their new album release of Secrets with the first one being released in November called ‘Falling Away’. “We did this clip because there is a huge value gap for artists and labels in the music industry right now and it needs to be fixed\u201d<\/em>\u00a0states guitarist\u00a0Mat Cosgrove<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cBest-case scenario, a 12-song album needs to be streamed about 125 times (1,500 total streams) on a subscription-based plan to equal the sale of an album. Our label is fully transparent with us, we see every transaction pertaining to our catalog and we get paid. The problem is that the revenue generated by free, advertising-based business models is fractions of that received from subscription models. If musicians aren\u2019t fairly compensated for their music, then they eventually stop being musicians and are forced to choose other professions that are more profitable.\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n
