(If you somehow missed it click <a href=\"https:\/\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/2017\/01\/new-music-glass-peaks-speak-and-spell\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) So of course, we went to the release concert.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/johnparryofficial\/\">John Parry<\/a>, a four piece band named after it\u2019s lead singer from London, kicked the night off with their funky singer-songwriter sound. Without even noticing I found myself nodding along to every song of their set without even knowing them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second opening band were a band called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/2007tuys\/\">Tuys<\/a> that flew over all the way from Luxembourg for the concert. From the very start I was impressed by their sound, dynamics on stage and just overall performance. I have to say that for a non-english speaking band there was not any trace of an accent when they were singing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then the main act came on, the moment everyone there had been waiting for: Glass Peaks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They did an eight song performance starting with <em>Stay<\/em>, having their first release\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/glasspeaksband\/your-eyes\">Your Eyes<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>as the middle man and finishing their incredible set with the newest single\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/glasspeaksband\/speak-and-spell-1\">Speak and Spell<\/a><\/em>. I will be the one annoying person to\u00a0say that the vocals do need a bit of work. I personally love to sing along to a song and if I can\u2019t fully hear and understand what the singer is saying the performance looses some of it\u2019s charm to me.
