Based in Queens, New York, emcee Germain follows up his debut, ‘Up All Night’ with ‘Propheteer’, a mid-tempo, minimalist track.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The song features a video directed by Wes Darbouze, a hard-hitting piece showing that a life of crime isn’t the way to go, and he sees his future for what it could be, and seeks to change his ways. The video follows the adventures of Germain and two friends on their criminal activities. They however pick on the wrong person, who turns things around and starts pursuing Germain.<\/p>\n

Germain is a ‘Propheteer’ – he sees visions of his future, he knows he is doing wrong. He’s determined not to meet the same fate as his colleagues, and he tries to atone for his sins by confessing to a priest. The song is hardhitting and powerful, with very simple instrumentation – but it doesn’t need much – Germain’s voice spitting out his strong lyrics are all we need. It’s a sobering message.<\/p>\n
