Matt Terry was crowned winner of The X Factor 2016 last night\u00a0in front of 10,000 excited fans at Wembley Arena and a TV audience of millions at home.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The 13th series of the most talked-about show on UK television came to a close with a phenomenal performance from Matt Terry\u2019s debuting winner\u2019s single \u2018When Christmas Comes Around\u2019.<\/i> This is an original Christmas song written by Ed Sheeran for this year\u2019s winner of The X Factor. \u2018When Christmas Comes Around\u2019 <\/i>was made available to download and stream immediately after the performance. All proceeds from the track are in aid of children\u2019s hospice charities, Together For Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase. Ed Sheeran is one of the UK\u2019s most renowned singer-songwriters. He has sold in excess of 11 million albums and won four BRIT awards and two Grammy awards.<\/p>\n

Mentored by Nicole Scherzinger, Matt Terry has impressed viewers throughout the series and last night his performance of Jess Glynne\u2019s Take Me Home<\/i> and a duet with Nicole earned him a spot in tonight\u2019s Final, where he performed a dazzling cover of Sam Smith\u2019s Writing\u2019s On The Wall <\/i>and beat Saara Aalto to become the winner.<\/p>\n

\u2018When Christmas Comes Around\u2019<\/i> is sure to become a modern festive classic. \u2018When Christmas Comes Around\u2019<\/i> is the ninth charity release from The X Factor and the fifth winner\u2019s single where profits have been donated to charity. Simco Limited will donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each download and in respect of all streaming in the UK and the Republic of Ireland to be shared equally by Together for Short Lives, registered charity no. 1144022 and Shooting Star Chase, registered charity no. 1042495. This donation will be at least 20p for each download sold in the UK.<\/p>\n
