Using the simple motif of a black and white video to illustrate that we are all the same John Vincent Curry – himself even painted half black and half white, conveys beautifully the truth that we are all the same, so what the hell are we fighting for.<\/h4>\n

With his music video for ‘Still The Same’, John Vincent Curry delivers a one-man performance that strikes at the rift in racial relations, and hits listeners with a heartfelt plea for common humanity.<\/p>\n

John has seen all sides of the music business, including the climb of his rock band, goneblind with major label deals, to being a recording and touring musician for ex-Creed frontman, Scott Stapp. John currently plays up to 250 shows a year as a solo artist and songwriter with his rock band, Hounds Of Jezebel, in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n

‘Still The Same’ gets right to the point. JVC and song\/video producer Mitch Burman chose to use the simple power of black and white throughout the video, which was skilfully shot by Amir Valinia at AV1 Productions. Released in time for the recent US Presidential Elections, it conveys a clear and resonating thought about the current state of affairs in our neighbourhoods, politics, judicial system, and the fears of rising immigration. The black and white face paint applied evenly to each side of JVCs face is very striking, with the video frequently flipping the point of view from black to white and so on – everything that was black is now white – and vice versa. Our concept of reality is adjusted and each flip paints a completely different picture of John Vincent Curry – but he is still the same.<\/p>\n
