Stunningly talented classical pianist, Stephen Marquiss is set to release his EP, ‘Joshua’s Fire’, on October 10. Stephen has made a video for each of the seven tracks on the EP, and has spent the past decade honing his skills and transforming his music into beautiful masterpieces.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Stephen Marquiss used the Bosendorfer Imperial SE reproducing piano to create the EP, and\u00a0says, “I play classical\u00a0piano – unfeigned, heartfelt…alongside\u00a0my own music – melodic\u00a0and\u00a0accessible,\u00a0ambient\u00a0and rich-textured.”<\/p>\n

Stephen Marquiss was classically trained at Wells Cathedral School, before moving onto Cambridge University. He then took further studies in New York, where he developed his unorthodox approach to classical music. It’s this approach which has helped him spearhead the Frome Festival, held every year since 2000. Stephen describes himself as a “Technique Detective”: he\u00a0helps “pianists to play fluently\u00a0and confidently, hone\u00a0technique, and cultivate mindful\u00a0coordination and well-being”, whilst\u00a0he helps\u00a0“piano teachers to motivate\u00a0students with effective solutions – or to refresh their own experience of playing.”<\/p>\n
