Essentially Pop had the honour to talk with Nick Howe whom is busy with an upcoming EP release as well as traveling all over the globe spreading his stunning brand of music to the masses.\u00a0 With features in the new ‘Angry Bird Seasons’ and ‘Comion’ documentary it is no wonder that word of his great songwriting is starting to catch fire.\u00a0 In this interview he talks about all big things that has happened as of late.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

EP: How has it been\u00a0on the run up to your\u00a0first official EP?<\/strong><\/p>\n

NH: Its been a struggle, ha. It always takes time getting things to the point of release. I’ve been trying to do as much as possible to make it a success. Its great having a small but great team!<\/p>\n

EP: How would you describe your sound on this EP and what were your influences?<\/strong><\/p>\n

NH: Indie\/rock some people mention\u00a0I remind them of Jason Mraz. I love a cross section of music from Jeff Buckley to Rage Against The Machine to the Raconteurs.<\/p>\n

EP: What’s it like to have one of your songs featured on one of the best selling apps of all time, Angry Birds Seasons?<\/strong><\/div>\n

NH: It was very lucky to have a feature. Within the Birdlife Campaign, which campaigns to save the last birds on the island. The apps based on a real life crisis if you didn’t know. The charity campaigns to save the birds (‘The Angry Birds’) on the island.<\/p>\n

EP: Did you write the song specifically for the Angry Birds app or was it something they just stumbled on and it fit?<\/strong><\/p>\n

NH: It was a fit, the song’s a love story! or at least inspired by a few people that mean a lot to me.<\/p>\n

EP: You also have a track that is being featured in the new Comicon documentary.\u00a0 How has that worked out?<\/strong><\/p>\n

NH: Comicon was a good story, we did a busking gig there a few\u00a0years ago in a Batman and Robin outfit and had an amazing response\u202630 Jedis\u00a0dancing with lightsabers and a circle dance of excited superheroes, what more could\u00a0you want!? A videographer ended up creating a cosplay video around my song and\u00a0that same videographer invited me to get involved in his latest documentary, which\u00a0was just shown at Comicon, \u2018Comicon – Culture and Cons\u2019 is the name. The first video off the EP features over 200 sci-fi, superheroes and cosplay characters. The video is coming out shortly, song name ‘Riches In Heaven’. You can hear a snippet here –<\/p>\n
