‘Rotten’, the new single from Gringo Star, presents their\u00a0love for nostalgic sounds of rock in the style of The Kinks. Positioned\u00a0between the folky sound of\u00a0The Shins\u00a0and Tame Impala\u2019s generous\u00a0reverb, the raw psych finish perfectly highlights the beautiful melody.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gringo Star’s forthcoming album, ‘The Sides And In Between’, has been likened\u00a0by Pitchfork as the Atlanta band’s own version of British invasion rock, combined with\u00a0the sounds of The Animals, Tame Impala, and Buddy Holly.<\/p>\n

Recently added to the expanding roster of label, Nevado Music<\/a>, ‘The Sides And In Between’ is set for release on August 26, and is currently available to pre-order from iTunes, while new single, ‘Rotten’ is out now. Gringo Star’s Nick Furglueles told Pure Volume<\/a>, who premiered the video,<\/p>\n

Gringo Star have toured relentlessly across the US and Europe, building up a diehard underground following, while at the same time sharing the bill with everyone from Cat Power and Feist, to The Black Angels and Weezer.<\/p>\n

The band has also toured with Wavves, Best Coast, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, and fellow Atlantans, The Black Lips.<\/p>\n
