Last year we featured the cerebral music of CFIT<\/a>, the side project of\u00a0No\u00ebl Duplaa.\u00a0No\u00ebl is back, this time with three members of Dublin alt rock band, Punch Face Champions, Dave Newell, Des Hickey, and Jakub Was. The quartet have joined forces as Not Monsters, with their debut track, ‘On Tilt’, set for release on 28 May.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

‘On Tilt’ comes charging out of the blocks fully formed, with a long rock guitar introduction – before dropping to reveal No\u00ebl’s gently lilting, pure vocals. The song is essentially of two halves: rock and acoustic, it works well, and sounds like a modern take on an Irish folk song.<\/p>\n

The members of Not Monsters\u00a0only\u00a0joined forces as a supergroup a year ago, but in that time they’ve played a number of shows around Ireland, including Vantastival, Canalphonic, State’s Faces 2016, KnockanStockan, and Electric Picnic. The band will launch ‘On Tilt’ at The\u00a0Grand Social, Dublin, on May 28.<\/p>\n
