It’s a lot to live up to – but the 80s style track from Words & Noises, which was recorded at Manchester’s renowned Blueprint Studio, is certainly a track you’ll want to listen to over and over. It’s got a really catchy hook, the “oooh ahhh ooooh” which will be in your brain long after you’ve managed to drag yourself away from the song. There’s a really familiar feel about ‘Play Your Cards’ – it opens a bit like ‘Take On Me’ from AHa – and then turns into something that sounds like it could have been by Cheap Trick. It’s a likeable sound, and leaves you excited for what the duo has in store with their EP.<\/p>\n
‘Play Your Cards’ is set for release on June 17 through Ditto Music and will be available on all good streaming and download services.<\/p>\n
