This was the fourth time I have seen the Sunset Sons and they never fail to impress, they bring surf cool rock in bucket loads and KOKO\u00a0the other week was no exception. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Arriving on stage to a back drop of lighting they launched straight into fan favourite, ‘Know My Name’, and the tempo never really dropped for the entirety of the fifteen song set . There really isn\u2019t any opportunity to draw breath with this band and every song has an anthemic familiarity about it. Wednesday\u2019s gig was loud and proud and it seemed that everyone in the crowd had come along for a good time and the Sunset Sons are becoming expert at delivering just that.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve seen this band in four very different venues now, the intimate Scala, then at the Barn On The Farm festival, then supporting Imagine Dragons at the O2 arena and finally at KOKO. Every time, they have managed to captivate the crowd with their super catchy songs which certainly seem to never get boring and every time I see them there are large sections of the crowd who delight in singing back the lyrics of their particular favourites.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band released their debut album, ‘Very Rarely Say Die’, on April 1<\/span>st<\/sup><\/span> and you would be a fool not to pick up a copy. It lends itself perfectly to the festival season that is nearly upon us and is almost impossible to listen to without a smile. It transports the listener to a warm summer evening, beer in hand and waves lapping upon the shore. Sunset Sons base themselves out of the town Hossegor in South West France, the self styled \u201cEuropean Surfing Capital\u201d and this is the feel that the band bring. They know the feeling their music creates and they are very good at delivering it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunset Sons have been gaining fans since being included on Radio One\u2019s Sound of 2015 and whether it is a packed KOKO, an open air festival or a London arena, they are adding to their fan base with every performance. Grab a copy of their debut album, see them live if you can and prepare for a summer of sun and sunsets.<\/span><\/p>\n
