Out of Los Angeles is brand new band HOT RUMOUR. Fresh and exciting, the alt rock trio has\u00a0burst onto the scene ready to take on the world.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Formed as recently as December last year, the band is made up of\u00a0LA producer Frankie Siragusa and brothers\u00a0Aaron, and\u00a0Josh Ficchi, HOT RUMOUR\u00a0might have only been together for a short time, but there’s no way you’d know that from their sound. Siragusa has worked with the likes of Ken Stringfellow\u00a0of The Posies,\u00a0and Sara Watkins of the Decembrists, while Aaron is the vocalist and chief songwriter of the band, and Josh, on drums, takes the role of de facto band leader.<\/p>\n

Debut single, ‘Run To Me’, set for release on March 11, is a powerful anthem, with tinkling piano and the strong rock vocals of Aaron Ficchi.<\/p>\n

‘Run To Me’ is sung from the point of view of someone who sees the object of his affections not being totally in love with him – but he’s willing to forgive them – and will be there when they run back to him – over and over again. The angst-ridden vocals and the repeated “Oh Oh Oh” refrain heighten the overwhelming sadness of the song. It’s never gonna happen. They don’t love the protagonist and he knows it, but he’s too in love to let go.<\/p>\n

HOT RUMOUR\u00a0is\u00a0set to take on the West Coast of the USA this summer to support their debut EP which will be coming out shortly. If ‘Run To Me’ is any indication of what else they have up their collective sleeves, then Memoirs are ones to watch out for.<\/p>\n
