An Italian singer songwriter now based in London, Cecilia G began playing jazz while working as an actress.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Cecilia, eager to expand her horizons, moved to Paris and then to London, where she studied acting, and obtained her Masters Degree at The Drama Centre, London. She started writing as a way of overcoming the torments of life, and so, with the help of sound engineer Sean, worked on her first original songs. Cecilia’s first song was called, ‘One Last Cookie’, the reason behind this\u00a0she attributes to being Italian.<\/p>\n

Cecilia then found an amazing French guitarist and songwriter, with whom she started gigging in and around London, until he moved to San Francisco. She then, while at the same time continuing acting, singing and writing for her own theatre company,\u00a0Fumatori di Carta (Paper Smokers), put together a blues band, ‘Cecilia G & The Rocking Chairs’, with some other talented musicians. The band recorded their first EP, ‘Genius’, and got some radio play.<\/p>\n

After writing and recording more music, Cecilia has now released a\u00a0solo EP.<\/p>\n

Three songs long, ‘Maze Without Walls’ is fun and fast paced. First song, ‘Good Intentions’ is a jazzy number that defies anyone to not at the very least tap their feet. Followed by the slightly slower title track, ‘Maze Without Walls’, which is accompanied by an animated music video, you get an idea of Cecilia’s considerable talent.<\/span><\/p>\n
