It's a folky sound, with a pop edge: hard to define, but easy to listen to.&lt;\/strong&gt;&lt;\/h4&gt;\n\n&lt;img src=\"https:\/\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Molly-Anna-Band-1.jpg\" width=\"704\" height=\"960\" class=\"so-widget-image\" style=\"max-width:100%; height:auto; width:100%; display:block\"&gt;\n\n\n&lt;p style=\"text-align: justify;\"&gt;'Ghosts' is a 5 song EP from Leeds&amp;nbsp;duo, Molly Anna Band. Describing their sound as \"nostalgic yet modern\", with \"feminine&amp;nbsp;grunge&amp;nbsp;vocals...at once volatile and vulnerable, captivating yet introverted\",songwriter and vocalist Molly Anna sings of heartache, heartbreak, flawed alibis, and generally all round bad luck.&amp;nbsp;With Mike producing, it's a concept album, following a fictional story about Molly Anna.&amp;nbsp;Lead track, 'The Gun', on the surface a beautifully sweet song, is in reality a song about how Molly has consciously&amp;nbsp;hurt those close to her, and a reflection on her actions. Second song on the album, 'Villain', was released in conjunction with The Samaritans last year, and in the song, the album's version of Molly Anna burns down her house. 'Til You Collapse', a guitar and keyboard strong ballad, is strident and forceful.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;\n\n\n&lt;p style=\"text-align: justify;\"&gt;Our favourite is 'Horrorshow' - starting out softly, Molly Anna borrows her vocal style from Paramore's Hayley Williams, building up the pace and strength in her voice, conveying strong emotions to the listener.&lt;\/p&gt;\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8216;Ghosts&#8217; will be launched on 30 January at Bloo 88, in Sheffield Yorkshire, starting from 7pm. Entry will be \u00a33 on the door.
