Red Sky July are Shelly Poole (Alisha’s Attic), Charity Hair (The Alice Band) and Ally McErlaine (Texas).<\/p>\n

With a sound that blends Alt-Country with Americana, their stripped back combination of acoustic guitar and vocals allows their lush melodies and strong, multi-layered harmonies to take the lead. Their 2009 self-titled album garnered excellent reviews in Q Magazine, The Evening Standard, and The Daily Telegraph. Q described the album as,<\/p>\n

“…a timeless blend of vocals and intricate twang…As atmospheric as it is emotional.”<\/p>\n

Their sophomore album, ‘Shadowbirds’, entered the UK Country Charts at #3. They were awarded a Tartan Clef award at the Scottish Music Awards.<\/p>\n

Red Sky July have been playlisted on BBC Radio 2, and have supported the likes of Sheryl Crow, 10cc, Tom Jones, and Jools Holland. They’ve played T in the Park, The Isle of Wight Festival, and Glastonbury.<\/p>\n

The band will release their third album in 2016.<\/p>\n
