Born in England of Irish and Welsh heritage, Lily Lambert gained international acclaim with her albums, ‘Life of Lily’ and ‘So Far’, which found her exploring a fuller sound, bordering on Folk Rock\/Country. With ‘Life of Lily’, she won the IMEA award for Folk Album of the Year in 2014, an ‘So Far’ received the Akademia Award for best Singer-Songwriter Album. Additionally ‘So Far’ won a Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards.<\/p>\n

Lily has released her new album this week, entitled ‘Merry Christmas, With Love’. It’s a stripped down, Americana spin on the classic Christmas songs everyone knows off by heart. ‘I had to find a way into the songs to make them my own”, she says, “but was also aware that I had to honour the originals so as not to ruin them for people to whom they are so loved.”<\/p>\n
