The Broken Orchestra, a\u00a0UK-based production duo, started creating music\u00a0in 2010. They make soulful, chilled – yet experimental music with layers and textures of instrumentation and sounds. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

They\u00a0have worked with world renowned vocalists Inyang Bassey, Shawn Lee and Natalie Gardiner. Their first full length album,\u00a0‘Shibui<\/a>‘\u00a0(2012) was released in Japan through P-Vine Records, and in 2014 they followed this up with a new single featuring female emcee Lady Paradox, entitled, ‘Digital Age<\/a>‘.\u00a0This single was very well received, and was given airplay on BBC Radio 6.<\/p>\n

Now the duo are back, with ‘Shallow Humour’\u00a0( featuring\u00a0Jack Conman). Set for release on 15 December, the haunting track has been receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Exploring the production duo’s simplistic approach, ‘Shallow Humour’ nonetheless\u00a0maintains a musical core that has evolved in line with their previous work.<\/p>\n

‘Light’, in a change from the instrumentals that usually grace the B sides of The Broken Orchestra’s work, features Jack Conman’s poetic lyrics and evocative voice: it’s a simply beautiful accompaniment to the main track.<\/p>\n
