Growing up in a musical home and singing from a very early age, Liv Austen started writing songs as a teenager, and in August last year released her first record, ‘Workin’ Man’s Dream’, a 4 track EP.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Recorded at Ten21 Studios, ‘Workin’ Man’s Dream’ was produced by Sean Kenny, with funds raised via a PledgeMusic campaign. It went on to be declared 2014’s UK EP Of The Year by W21 Music – high praise indeed from the Home of UK Country Music!<\/p>\n

With all this in mind, we set off to London’s Borderline venue, where Liv was first up in a quality night of British Country Music, followed by The Rising, from Belfast, and headliners, Jess and the Bandits.<\/p>\n

Opening with a fab cover of Lee Ann Womack’s ‘Same Kind of Different’, as the audience started filling the room, Liv swiftly moved on to the slightly slower ‘Two Choices’, before singing the first of the evening’s songs from her EP, ‘Breathe Out’. She followed this with the very beautiful ‘I Just Want to See Him’.<\/p>\n

‘The Guts You Always Had’ is an audience favourite, and it was no different at the Borderline last night. This led into a high-spirited mash up of ‘Workin’ Man’s Dream’ and ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’ by the Dixie Chicks.<\/p>\n

Liv rounded up the evening with her new single, ‘Don’t Regret A Single One’, which came out on October 27. The song is already receiving interest from radio stations across the UK, Europe, and the US.<\/p>\n

The only regret WE had is that she didn’t sing the lovely ‘Rain On My Side’, but we bought Liv’s EP, so all is not lost!<\/p>\n
