The Little Unsaid is the brainchild of West Yorkshire multi-instrumentalist, producer, poet and songwriter, John Elliott. Initially a solo project, The Little Unsaid is now a growing community of touring musicians and producers, blending folk, electronica, orchestral music – and meticulous songwriting – with John’s ethereal vocals.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Third album, ‘Fisher King’ follows after two well-received crowdfunded albums. ‘Fisher King’ is the result of traumatic personal crisis, reflected in the music\u2019s genre-hopping complexity, lyrical honesty and moments of cathartic release. John was inspired in his songwriting by books he’d become obsessed with during the winter of 2014, a period in which he lived in self-imposed isolation in the hills of West Yorkshire. Including ‘Lolita’, ‘Dante’s Inferno’, ‘The Death of Bunny Monroe’ (by Nick Cave) and TS Eliot’s ‘The Waste Land’, from which the title of the album is taken. Recorded over four weeks in a London basement, in the middle of Highgate Cemetery, in the steeple of a crumbling Islington church, and on a tiny island in the middle of the Celtic Sea, everything conspires to make an album which is a thing of beauty and complexity.<\/p>\n

Released 9 October, ‘Fisher King’ was once again produced via crowdfunding. Using Pledge Music, fans were offered pre-orders as well as limited edition artwork, personalised songs, acoustic albums and private concerts. A percentage of the money raised is to be donated to the UK charity, Youth Music, which provides young people experiencing challenging circumstances, the opportunity to make and be educated in music.<\/p>\n

The Little Unsaid appeared at major festivals over the summer – including Glastonbury – and are now on tour.<\/p>\n
