Real Experts is a London-based synthpop electronic project, headed up by Andrew Maley on Keys and vocals, with Victoria Knowles joining him on vocals, John Humber on Lead Guitar, Will Rutley on Bass Guitar, and Paul Harris on Percussion. ‘The Trade Off’, their second LP, is set for release this Friday, October 16, and features catchy lyrics, infectious choruses, and a host of guest vocalists.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

First single from the album, ‘Disco Tears’, features Surrender Hearts’ lead singer, Daniel Angelus. Angelus has recently performed alongside T’Paul, Katrina and the Waves, and Musical Youth, and also features on three other of the album’s tracks.<\/p>\n

‘My Life Is Nothing More Than This’ features 18 year old Eden, with an Adele tone to her voice, as well as Mike Burnett on ‘She Hurts’, and Vivian Marie on ‘Forever is a Big Word’.<\/p>\n

Real Experts member, Victoria Knowles, oozes through ‘Sugar Rush’ and ‘Lemon is Lemon’, the latter also featuring Patrick Barclay, better known for his sports journalistic endeavours. ‘Lemon is Lemon’ is offered as a bonus to ‘The Trade Off’ LP via Bandcamp. French\/American singer Mimisinga (aka Mimi Corenthin) joins Daniel Angelus on ‘<\/em><\/strong>Space Age Love Song‘<\/em><\/strong>, offering up sonic sounds reminiscent of Macy Gray and Tracy Chapman. Mimisinga is the vocalist for reggae band Dojo.<\/p>\n

In explaining the concept behind the album, Andrew Maley explains,<\/p>\n

“It is all about capturing the moment. Hearing something and it making a difference. Having something that matters to you. Happy or sad. Every Real Experts song is designed to be a moment of ‘perfect pop. Music is about being in random situations in life, and within a few seconds, a bar or a beat or a note can change you forever.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Real Experts will be performing at the Hot Chip Official Aftershow Party\/Hot Chip DJ Set, at Brixton’s JAMM. Tickets are \u00a310, with doors open 7pm-4am.<\/p>\n
