Max Pope shares the lead single and title track from his upcoming EP, ‘Less Than Nothing’, a\u00a0song that blends a lounge vibe jazz guitar with his soulful alternative indie rock style.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The EP will be available in late Autumn but his newest single, ‘Less Than Nothing’ can be viewed on Max Pope’s Soundcloud below.<\/p>\n

Having many similarities to great artist such as Mac Demarco, Will Joseph Cook, and Flyte is a good indication that the stage will light up for this 20 year old Brighton based singer\/songwriter. His first single off the upcoming EP, ‘All That I Need’ has had nearly 100,000 plays in just two weeks and displays the catchy yet nostalgic songwriting quality that Max Pope is capable of.<\/p>\n

“The song is written about achieving nothing with your time. It’s about those days when you really try to be productive but nothing sparks – the “lightning” just doesn’t strike. I wrote it when I was in the middle of a writers block and had spent several days trying to come up with something good and nothing materialised.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The upcoming Max Pope EP, Less Than Nothing will feature four tracks all which have references to rock, soul, jazz, and blues styles of the past yet Max did not exactly intend it that way. Speaking on the influences behind the EP Max states,\u00a0\u00a0“I don’t listen to a whole lot of blues music, but it’s always been around me since I was really young”, explaining the impact and profound inspiration of his father whom was also a musician.<\/p>\n
