Counting Coins are an ska\/punk outfit, formed in 2009. Their very modern sound, which can switch from ska\/punk to gypsy to hip-hop and back again in the space of one song, gives more than a nod to the best of the politicised alternative music scene of the 80s.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Counting Coins has steadily built up a reputation for getting the crowds bouncing during their raucously energetic live shows. Often stealing the spotlight when taking a support slot, they want everyone to have a good time and refuse to take no for an answer.<\/p>\n

Since the success of their track, ‘Take the Ride’ in 2010 and again in 2013 with their EP, ‘Reach for the Sky’, Counting Coins have been performing across the UK and Europe, supporting such artists as Random Hand, Sonic Boom 6, The New Town Kings, The Talks, Jaya the Cat, Babar Luck (ex King Prawn), The King Blues, The JB Conspiracy, Neville Staple (ex The Specials), The Stiff Joints, as well as dominating festival stages such as Boomtown, Rebellion, Tramlines, Galtres and Freedom Festival.<\/p>\n

The boys are now set to release their new single, ‘Don\u2019t Look Down’ \u00a0on 1st October. ‘Don’t Look Down’, which sees them further develop their ska\/punk roots, features Robin Leitch, of Random Hand, and Pat Pretorius from The Talks, and is the eagerly awaited first release from Counting Coins’ forthcoming album.<\/p>\n

The soon-to-be-released video for ‘Don\u2019t Look Down’ features crowds from Counting Coins’ local following, who were invited to a \u2018Coins Style Party\u2019. The resulting footage gives an insight into the energy the crowd generate at a the band’s shows.<\/p>\n

‘Don’t Look Down’, by Counting Coins is due for release on the 1st October.<\/p>\n
