Originally from Rotterdam, Netherlands duo Ward and Sahraei are your upcoming indie team-dream.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Both twenty somethings are passionately developing their own type of mainstream. Their creative dynamics are perfect for our ever-evolving music industry. With Ward bringing in the electronic beats and Sahraei\u2019s pop punk sound, their music style is unique and refreshing. Ward and Sahraei\u2019s free-spirited nature is clearly reflected in their delivery and don\u2019t expect to hear the normal; experimental sounds are a favourite of theirs. The dynamic friends are inspired by their favourite bands;<\/p>\n

\u201cWe try to inspire and we are inspired by our favourite bands like HelloGoodbye, Passion Pit and Vampire Weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

They\u2019re all about a collection of punk rock, indie, electro and alternative en synth, and their upcoming EP, \u2018TALKS\u2019 is all of that. Their first single, \u2018Anyway\u2019, which will also be on the record, has been featured on several blogs and new music discovering apps; such as The Best Song app. The Canadian blog, The Revue, described the song as a \u201cmid-tempo, lush tune that sounds like a song that R\u00e9gine Chassagne of Arcade Fire might perform.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2014 Ward and Sahraei wrote a song called, \u2018Sights (Summer Nights)\u2019 for the Art Rocks Competition and it got them to the semi finals. The song was inspired by a painting called The Fisherman House, by Claude Monet. The song had positive reviews and was described to have \u201ca strong chorus. The melody is a reminiscent of a sunny summer day in a far-off place.<\/p>\n

Verena Ward is a busy singer-song writer; she started out performing on many stages throughout Rotterdam, whilst Maral Sahraei is a brilliant ukulele player, traveling the world with just her camera and notebook in search of inspiration.<\/p>\n
