With the weather being a little bit all over the place at the moment we\u2019re absolutely loving\u00a0New York Tourists new single \u2018Call\u2019 to brighten up the rainy days.<\/p>\n

The quartet have already made waves with their track \u2018Chew Me Up, Spit Me Out\u2019 being selected as one of BBC Introducing\u2019s top 10 tracks of 2013 along with supporting the likes of The View, We Are Scientists and most recently Status Quo.<\/p>\n

When we listen to \u2018Call\u2019 we\u2019re met with a indie rock edge which has been perfectly described as \u201cQueens of The Stone Age meets Foals\u201d a weird combination yet one which works flawlessly. On arrival of Gary Taylor\u2019s high-pitched vocals things get a little weird, seemingly out of place alongside the pounding drum lines we soon learn to love them. The unique twang draws us in as we find ourselves bopping along to the building drum lines and flickering tempos. Contrasted by heavier, punchier chorus with lyrics such as \u2018Were you ever satisfied with the thoughts in your mind\u2019 will become hooked in your head and you\u2019ll be singing along by the time it\u2019s over. We\u2019re more than hooked and New York Tourists have definitely created our new summer anthem!<\/p>\n

This year saw New York Tourists begin recording on their debut album following on from a Kickstarter campaign to fund this. Despite already having a busy year things are definitely not slowing down any time soon with tour dates lined up for the rest of the year along with a single release party on 23rd October in Darwen Theatre Library.<\/p>\n
