We recently had a chat with Sweet Crisis, a new band formed in Cambridge, England. Consisting of Leo Robarts (Vox) Piers Mortimer (Guitar) and Dave Cullen on Drums, the trio have a new release, ‘Fight About Nothing’. Come with us and find out more about this band:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

EP: Can you tell us a little bit about yourselves for those who may be\u00a0unfamiliar with you and your music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: We are Sweet Crisis, and we are a rock band from Cambridge. It’s live energetic rock ‘n’ roll!<\/p>\n

EP: Who does what in the band? Who makes the decisions, or is it more\u00a0of a democracy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Although Sweet Crisis has only been going since January this year, we have all known each other since school days. So every decision we make, we make together really.<\/p>\n

EP: What are your musical influences? Which artists inspire you most?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Over influences, stuff like Led Zep, Leonard Skynyrd, Free, and modern bands like Royal Blood and Rival Sons,\u00a0all are really inspiring musically.<\/p>\n

EP: Do you feel growing up together in the same area has helped you to\u00a0bond as a band?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Definitely, as we were all friends first before we were in the band together. This means we are quite tight I guess yeah.<\/p>\n

EP: You’re about to release your debut single, ‘Fight About Nothing’.\u00a0Can you tell us a bit about the track? What inspired it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Well, the title does speak for itself! It was written about one of those fights you have with your other half, That goes way over the top, and is normally about absolutely nothing! You know what I mean?<\/p>\n

EP: When will ‘Fight About Nothing’ be available to download?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC:\u00a0It’s available to pre-download now on iTunes. And available to download from 31 July.<\/p>\n

EP: What kind of music do you like to listen to, when not performing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Loads of stuff, a massive range. Not just rock, but soul, funk, The occasional techno! Loads really.<\/p>\n

EP: We hear that you have recorded your debut album. Can you tell us a\u00a0bit more about that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Hopefully very energetic live rock ‘n’ roll album, like what you are gets in the 70s, with more up-to-date production and sounds.<\/p>\n

EP: Why the name, ‘Sweet Crisis’? Does it have any special meaning to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: Well life is really isn’t it!? Yeah, sweet crisis came actually from a old song we had, and now don’t use, we loved the name so much that it’s now the band name!<\/p>\n

EP: What are your hopes and plans for the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SC: To release this album, and for it to hopefully do well! To continue playing lots of gigs and for as many people as possible to come watch and listen to us play, and like it to hopefully!<\/p>\n
